Five Things I Learned from Jurassic World

No wonder this epic adventure film hit the box office earning almost $1 billion worldwide in just two weeks.
Here are my take-away from this exciting, high impact and action-filled Dino film.
1. "The key to a happy life is to accept you are never in control." --Simon Masrani
Whether you admit it or not, we are all control freaks in real life. Life is not to be controlled, life is to be lived. Sometimes, learning to let go can be the most liberating thing you can do. Let go of your worries. Release all your frustrations. Free yourself from all your insecurities. Accept your weakness but work on it.
2. "They're dinosaurs. That's WOW enough." --Owen Grady
Oftentimes we are way looking for the newest, most popular and the greatest thing in life to fascinate us, that we tend to overlook the seemingly insignificant surprises right before our eyes. Being able to walk or run. Getting a good night sleep. Your wife who loves preparing your breakfast. Being able to wake up each morning. Having a family to go home to. Living vigorously. Meeting new friends and finding real ones. These are all WOW enough to keep us excited in life.
3. "Jurassic World exists to remind us how very small we are. How new. You can't put a price on that". --Simon Masrani
The world is not all about you and me. We live in a complex community of interconnected organisms in this planet, that includes living and non-living components of our environment. So never ever think that you are way better or important compared to anyone or anything else.
4. "I'm gonna protect you, no matter what happens, I promise." --Zach to Gray
Family is everything. We do our best to protect their best interest, the best way we can, because they deserve the best.
5. "It's not about control, it's a relationship based on respect." --Owen Grady
Attempting to manipulate things, circumstances or people around you is a risky business. A company brand is like a reputation of a person, before it became popular, you never impose the brand, you earn the respect of your customers by working hard on it. Similarly in real life, if you want other people to respect you, earn it and return the respect that is due to them as well.
Finally, I cannot end this post without complimenting Bryce Dallas Howard also known as Claire Dearing, the alpha female operations manager of Jurassic World and workaholic aunt of Zach and Gray. Claire is no doubt a kick-ass feminist icon who never once took off her nude pumps the whole time. That to me is remarkable strength with grace and elegance :D
