More Than Just a Skirt

Last Friday, I woke up feeling feverish. To compensate with my negative aura, I decided to wear a floral mini skirt going to the office. So off I went.

As I walk to the bus stop, I realized that wearing skirt limits the way I walked. I admit I am a fast-paced walker and don't pay much attention to poise and proper ;)) This day, skirt may have limited my speed  but it thought me to exercise grace innate to every woman. Turned out to improve my frame and perspective as a female human being.

Light bulb moment!

In the same way with our convictions. Sometimes our convictions restricts us on how we behave, how we respond, how we react... There will be times that it's not the same way how the world expects us to be. But not following what the society dictates doesn't make us less of a person. Our conviction sets us apart. Our conviction makes us different.

Likewise rules, laws, commandments are not created to confine us. These are made to liberate us from making foolish decisions so we can experience life in harmony. Live life at its best.

But the most important thing I realized that day... I should wear skirt more often (giggles)

What's In My Bag?

Just like any girls, I've been looking forward to write a post that features the treasures in my purse.

This year I am trying to practice the "less is more" principle. Beginning with my bag, so I switched from big to a medium one. Shhhh! I still love big bags! with all the comfort and roomy service it gives me.

Anyways, I bought this black medium-sized shoulder bag from "Elements" a local brand in the Philippines. Its simple design and color got my attention. Practical, since neutrals go with everything. A smart, chic bag with multiple compartment in its interior, comes with detachable shoulder strap and main flap with zipper and magnetic closure. So here's what's inside it:

Wallet - red Girbaud wallet with multiple compartments to organize all my IDs, credit/debit cards, personal cards, bills, coins and other essentials.
Notebook and pen - in case my memory fails to do his job, my notes can save the day. Did I mention I  colored pens? :)
Keys - house, room, office keys with nail cutter which I find handy
Hand cream - from Crabtree & Evelyn. Me  pampering my hands for their 24 hours daily service without complains
Sanitizer - another hand treat from Bench
Lip balm - who would want dry lips, got this IN2IT lip treat with SPF 20 PA++
Earphones - so I can escape from the noisy crowd in the train
Pill kit - my pink-mini-mobile-drugstore which houses my personal meds like paracetamol and ibufropen for headaches or body pains, loperamide for unexpected bowel movement disorder and loratadine if my obnoxious allergic rhinitis visits me
ID - company proximity and smart card in one, a must-bring every workday
Hair goodies - small hair clamp and black elastic band for ponytail
Mobile phone - Samsung Galaxy S3 in red flip case (not in the picture since I use it to take the photo)

1 Bag. 12 Items.

Simple as it is. With no so much complications. Exactly what I needed in my daily work routine.

Unlocking Samsung Galaxy S phones that are pattern locked

My 4-year old nephew locked out my Samsung Galaxy S I9300 phone after playing with the pattern security. Gees! Screen shows "too many pattern attempts" error with two options to unlock:

1. Sign in with your google account
2. Enter backup PIN

I immediately went to Samsung outlet in the Philippines to consult my problem and asked for the default PIN of Samsung Galaxy S phones. Customer support was not helpful at all, she told me that my phone will be reformatted and that I need to pay Php560.00 if my phone was purchased locally but since I purchased it in Singapore the price will be relatively higher. She also told me that after formatting the phone all my data and settings will be lost. She even could not give me the default PIN as it was restricted for them. She suggested I go to local cellphone repair to reformat my phone where charge is cheaper to Php350.00 approximate. I left the shop discouraged and decided to get assistance to StarHub where I purchased my phone.

Going back to Singapore, I tried to unlock my phone after connecting to a wifi using option #1 where I enter my gmail account and password. Hoala! I was directed to a page where I can reset my pattern security and set new backup PIN then everything is back to normal.

T'was a relief! Thanked God! I don't need to pay and reformat my phone just like what the Samsung customer support was saying.
