God moves in mysterious ways :D

I can't contain the joy I have inside me... It was just so amazing how God make stories after stories in our daily lives. In delight, I found myself in front of my laptop trying to chronicle the experiences I had, the best way I could.

Last Saturday, March 28 we had a "Run for a Cause" event where Sonshine Street(Bread of Life's Children Ministry) workers will challenge their feet to run as many laps as they could and get sponsors who will pledge for each lap they make.

I was so blessed to have friends who selflessly supported me in this fund raising... Honestly, at first I was hesitant to tell them and share the burden... But only in times such as this, that we could have a first-hand experience on how the Lord moves not only in our lives, but in the lives of others.

True enough, God will not disappoint us, I was grateful with my colleagues who pledged generously and lavishly gave. These are ordinary people who allowed themselves to be used extraordinarily. Until this very moment, I'm still bedazzled that I was able to raise such amount of money. I couldn't have done that without you guys. I may not return the favor to all of you but I'm certain that God will be the one to bless you mightily and in ways we could never imagine.

Peeps, Hats off and God bless you :D

2Corinthians 9:7
Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

When God speaks...

Last week, I have this "personal" burden to help a good friend of mine in her mission trip, when I say personal, I meant just "me" in the picture. I planned to give her something which "I" can afford to give. Something "I" consider good enough for her which at the same time not hard enough for "me". But the Lord seized my heart and rebuked me.

These past 2 weeks I started reading the book of Acts from the Bible, which is basically the story of acts of the 12 disciples of Jesus after the Resurrection. And I just can't explain why I was kept reverted to this passage, although I already read them 2-3 days ago.

Acts 4:32-37
Sharing Possessions

32The group of followers all felt the same way about everything. None of them claimed that their possessions were their own, and they shared everything they had with each other. 33In a powerful way the apostles told everyone that the Lord Jesus was now alive. God greatly blessed his followers, [a] 34and no one went in need of anything. Everyone who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money 35to the apostles. Then they would give the money to anyone who needed it. 36-37Joseph was one of the followers who had sold a piece of property and brought the money to the apostles. He was a Levite from Cyprus, and the apostles called him Barnabas, which means "one who encourages others."

But still I bargain with the Lord, and tries to justify that what I have decided to give her was good enough. In spite of my justification I feel so restless.

Come Friday, March 27 a day before our "Run for a Cause", I have a quiet time with God and my devotion that very day was the following verse:

1 Timothy 6:8
8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

Then again God bring me back to Acts 4:32-37 now with a different perspective. I realized I'm not even selling a property to be able to help this friend, just like what the disciples did to support the ministry of God. Then the Lord impressed on me very clearly - whatever amount I would raised tomorrow on our "Run for a Cause," that same value I would give to her. This time I didn't bargain with the Lord... It may sound complicated and hard to comprehend for others but here are my 3 simple reasons why I did it:

- I'm not doing it because I'm rich(though my Father is -wink-), I'm doing it because I felt blessed to have the chance to help a fellow believer to support God's work.
- I'm not doing it because I think its the right thing to do, I'm doing it because God told me so.
- Lastly, I'm doing it because I understand that the money I'll be sharing to her does not come from me, anyway, it comes from my Father so why bother :D :D

To God be the glory!!!

I had this sort of realization:
When God speaks, are we willing to listen? are we ready to obey? are we going to step out of faith and trust Him on this? We could always say "NO" friend and remain in our comfort zone, but (a big BUT) we're also saying NO to the greater things that we could have experienced out of it.

Ip Man versus 10 Black Belts

IP Man the grand master and greatest influence of Bruce Lee who in turn became a significant icon in martial arts .

Let's have a sneak peak of one of best scenes in the movie I consider very powerful and heart moving. Before this scene, the General kills Sifu Liu, Ip Man's best friend
where he witnessed how his best friend being shot to death after losing in a duel with 3 Japanese fighters and still struggle to pick up the bag of rice he won earlier.

This breaks the heart of Ip Man, so he demands to fight with 10 of the Japanese black belts. After the heart stopping fight - Ip Man won... Ip Man and the General had an intense exchange of words:

General: Come again.
Interpreter: He wants you to come again. (talking to Ip Man)
Ip Man: I did not come here for the rice.
Interpreter: He will come again. (talking to the General)
General: Hey, What is your name?
Interpreter: He wants you to know your name. (talking to Ip Man)
Ip Man: I am only a Chinese man.
Interpreter: He is Ip Man (talking to the General)

If Helen Keller had Anne Sulliven, Bruce Lee got Ip Man... Great movie! Good work Donnie Yen :D

MyDreams: Being watched by a centaur :S

I had this vivid dream, yesternight (yesterday night) wherein I am being watched by a centaur in my room. Centaur in Greek mythology, is a race of creatures composed of part human and part horse or tikbalang in our native tongue. I tried to hide from other rooms in our house but I can always see its creepy face everytime I peak in the window. It seems that the creature does this to protect me but all the more scares me.

I tried to interpret this weird dream thru Dream Analyzer, but it doesn't make sense at all ... :(

Being watched can represent a feeling of self-consciousness, an awareness or fear of being observed by others, or a heightened concern about others' opinions or motives somehow in your life

They might represent the following things, relating to your current or recent life experience:

* Strength, especially other-worldly strength
* Good will, loyalty, vigilance, stubbornness
* Warrior-like qualities or other masculine ideals
* Ability, follow-through, direct action to accomplish a goal or enforce a rule

Power and the ability to work. Freedom. Journeys or transportation. Dreaming of this animal can represent:

* Having too much of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being less this way
* Not having enough of one of these qualities, or that you could benefit by being more like this
* Someone or something in your real life with whom you associate one of these qualities (an event, situation, threat, etc.)
