Music: Somewhere

This year Singapore got a chance to experience the critically-acclaimed Broadway musical of all time, "West Side Story" - a theatrical masterpiece of song, dance and drama released in 1957. West Side story is an award-winning adaptation of the classic-romantic "Romeo and Juliet."
The musical brought us on the west side of Manhattan, New York City during the mid 1950's, when many Puerto Ricans moved to NYC.

I am not so much into musical but the ten Academy awards won by this musical film earned its spot as "worth checking out" for me.

Few of the songs that stood out includes "I Feel Pretty," "Maria," "America" and "Somewhere." The latter being the most popular(at least for me) and inspirational for most. A song with a lyrics of hope for the future and the melody of holding on.

Someday
Somewhere
We'll find a new way of living
We'll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere

There's a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere

There's a time for us
Someday there'll be a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn
Time to care

Someday
Somewhere
We'll find a new way of living
We'll find there's a way of forgiving
Somewhere
Somewhere
Somewhere

There's a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and we're half way there
Hold my hand and I'll take you there
Somehow
Someday
Somewhere
